Educational Solutions includes:

The CCA (Continuing Care Assistant) Program, DUTJ (Dementia Understanding the Journey) Program, and CCA Registry includes a 12-person team dedicated to:

• Operationalizing CCA Program, including CCA Program Advisory Committee
• CCA Certification
• RPL (Recognized Prior Learning) Program (those with experience wanting to become registered CCAs)
• The CCA Registry – Mandatory list of all CCAs and counterparts working in Continuing Care for Department of Health and wellness
• The DUTJ Program – Foundational certificate to understand the dementia journey

Various Projects currently including:

• The VR (Virtual Reality) Safety Project wherein staff from MPE (Member Partner Engagement) and IT (Information Technology) collaborate on the development of a Virtual Reality based training program designed to advance the skills of front-line care staff from Long Term Care and the Disability Support Program with de-escalation responsive behaviors.
• HANS currently manages HSPNet (Health Sciences Placement Network) a software program used by academic and healthcare facilities (NSH/IWK) to coordinate health education placements. HSPnet-NS staff from MPE are providing leadership to a project exploring expansion options, including Continuing Care.
