RN Authorized Prescribers (RN-AP) in Continuing Care Practice Settings

RN Authorized Prescribers (RN-AP) in Continuing Care Practice Settings

What is an RN-AP?

The Registered Authorized Prescriber (RNAP) is a registered nurse with advanced education and practice that allows them to prescribe within their own pre-defined practice setting.

RN APs working within the Continuing Care sector support NS residents living in long-term care (LTC) or being cared for in the community (i.e. home care or clinic setting) in receiving more timely access to appropriate care.

If you have questions regarding reimbursement for RN Authorized Prescriber funding requests, please reach out to ccrecruitment@healthassociation.ns.ca

The RNAP Community of Practice (CoP) aims to unite Registered Nurse Prescribers working in the Continuing Care sector across the province. The CoP is a virtual forum for RNAPs to learn, collaborate and promote best practices, serving to support high quality care provision across the Seniors and Long-Term Care Sector.
