Provincial Wound Program

The Wound Care Program is designed to promote a consistent, evidence informed approach to wound prevention and management across the continuing care sector. Its primary objective is to strengthen clinical capacity through effective knowledge transfer and support the adoption of best practices among healthcare providers. By emphasizing an interdisciplinary model, the program fosters coordinated, high quality care. This collaborative framework also enhances the appropriate use of wound care products and associated funding, supporting improved oversight, accountability, and responsible resource utilization.
