Mechanical Program

Consists of four programs encompassing performance checks and repair of anesthesia systems including all attached devices; inspection of Medical Gas systems including testing of remote alarm panels and medical air components; personal sampling of nitrous oxide levels; and inspection and repair of patient analgesia systems used in Obstetrics.

Anesthesia Systems

Anesthesia Systems support includes activities required to ensure safe and effective use of anesthetic machines and associated hardware/software in Operating Rooms and Obstetrical suites. The following services are provided to ensure safe and effective use of patient care devices from purchase to disposal:

• incoming inspection
• periodic performance testing
• repairs as required
• user support tasks
• parts acquisition
• negotiation with suppliers for compliance to warranty services and purchase agreement
• assistance with equipment relocation and disposal.

Medical Gas Service

Medical Gas Service includes activities in the following areas:

• Testing and repair of medical gas outlets including oxygen, vacuum, medical air, nitrous oxide and nitrogen.
• Inspection of zone values, compressors, manifolds, alarm panels, and related assemblies.
• Sampling of medical gases for purity.
